The Swachh Bharat Mission propelled India on its sanitation journey by building toilets at scale and ending open defecation. The stories in this book describe an eye-opening range of reasons that impelled individuals and communities to engage with sanitation across the value chain and verticals, from containment to conveyance and treatment, from solid waste to fecal sludge management. The book shows that the challenge of sanitation is ongoing. And each story in it, needs to inspire many more. It demonstrates that for a nation to change, it all has to start with a change of heart. My illustration was for the story of Mr. Anthonysamy from Dindigul Tamilnadu, India.Thanks to BBC Media Action for making me part of this programme with other talented artists.
