Mumbai Local

For me, the Mumbai Local has always been more than just a mode of transport—it’s a moving gallery of human stories. Every journey brings together different people, emotions, conversations, and unexpected moments, making no two rides ever feel the same. During my daily commute, I carried a stylus phone and would constantly sketch fellow passengers, capture expressions, and document little slices of life whenever inspiration struck. Those quick sketches slowly became a visual diary of the city I call home. This project holds a very special place in my heart because it was never about creating artwork—it was about preserving moments that would otherwise disappear in the rush of everyday life. Even today, these sketches remind me that some of the most beautiful stories are found in the most ordinary journeys.
